“A heart to love, and in that heart, Courage, to makes love known”
If you’re amorous just like me, you must be thrilled by how romantic (yet sometimes pathetic) Shakespeare wrote most of the scripts of his famous plays. I got the chance to pay a visit to a small city, which is claimed to be the city where he was born and spent his life: Stratford-upon-Avon.
In less than a day, you will have finished your tour around this beautiful city. The famous tourist attraction in the city is the Shakespeare’s House tour, where you can visit several houses and places that are related to the life of Shakespeare. I have to say that the price of the tour is expensive, ranging from £23-£25 per person (for entry to 5 places). If you’re on a tight budget (I was), don’t worry too much. Every corner, every route you take, is admirable. You’ll be excited and have a lot of fun. Plus, you can still go to Shakespeare’s house, his wife’s house, his daughter’s house (and all the places included in the tour) for free if you don’t plan to enter them.
Jump off the train and walk a bit towards the center of the city, you will find many little shops inside peculiar buildings of the Tudor period (timber-framed house). Strolling around the city of Stratford-upon-Avon and chilling inside a little tea place will definitely make your day!
Ps. You’re even luckier when it’s sunny.
I can’t tell much, as for Stratford-upon-Avon, the pictures are worth a thousand word. Here you go!

I love Stratford-upon-Avon, my visit to the town was a lovely escape for a city-girl like me. If i may suggest, do come during spring or summer so you can wear a nice outfit (not wrapped in a jacket) and your pictures will turn out to be more stunning! Oh and i can even imagine how beautiful it will be with all the flowers that bloom during those seasons.
